What is KidStuf?
April 5th KidStuf Online
KidStuf is where kids and parents learn together about God’s Big Ideas! It is a fun, interactive, multi-media shared experience designed for families.
Why does KidStuf exist?
KidStuf exists to partner with parents. We believe that parents are ultimately responsible for the spiritual development of their children.
4 “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. 5 You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. 6And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. 7 You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. 8 You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. 9 You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9 ESV
We also recognize that parents have a whole lot more time with their kids than anyone at church. In fact, each year kids spend about 3,000 hours with their parents versus the 40 or so that they will spend attending church on Sunday. As a result, no one has more influence over a child than his or her parent. Because of this, we believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church. We believe that it is our role to partner with parents by providing a plan that will give them the tools they need to lead their kids spiritually. This plan is launched at KidStuf.
Who should attend KidStuf?
Kids (K through 5th grade) AND their parents. If your child is not yet in kindergarten, they are still welcome to attend as well! We just ask that they sit with a parent in the seats until they are in kindergarten. Because this is a family production, we ask that all kids attend with a parent.
How does KidStuf partner with Tribes?
These two environments are synched together to provide the best experience possible for your family! The same kids that go to KidStuf also attend Tribes. In both of these environments, they are learning about the same Big Idea. KidStuf is a shared experience for families that launches the Big Idea for the month. KidStuf aims to motivate, equip, and inspire PARENTS to apply the Big Idea at home all month long!
Tribes happens every Sunday during the main service. It is where kids meet in small groups with other kids their age and connect with an adult small group leader. Each week, they are taught a different Bottom Line and Bible story that focuses on a different aspect of the Big Idea.
When is KidStuf?
KidStuf will now be a special event once or twice a year.
